Before we begin, we must share some exciting news. Kombi Love has new owners and they’re very special ones at that.
Way back in 2009 Garry Miller started Kombi Love and worked closely with John Farlow to establish Melbourne’s first professional wedding car hire service using beautifully restored Volkswagen Kombis. They had so much fun doing so, along with fellow chauffeurs Fleur and Wayne, collectively filling weddings with Kombi Love.
The very idea of Kombi weddings was novel back then as commonly stretch limousines and vintage Jaguars and Rolls Royce lined church driveways. This was before winery weddings became popular ~ And before George & Mildred, Kombi Love’s multi-award-winning Volkswagen Kombis arrived on the scene.
For the past few years, Stephen Matthys has been the face of Kombi Love along with the quirky smiles of George & Mildred.
Today a staggering 750 weddings have been attended by Kombi Love and each one has been special whether in Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Dandenong Ranges, Mornington Peninsula or as far afield as Philip Island and Barwon Heads.
As we look forward to many more years of Kombi Love we thank Stephen for his dedication and welcome Garry & John joint owners back behind the wheels of these cheeky love buses.
