Our Kombis and chauffeurs

Named after the 1970s sitcom characters there is nothing ill matched about these iconic Kombis for hire. George & Mildred share authentic Niagara Blue paintwork giving a unique slant to the traditional wedding custom, Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...

George & Mildred are licensed to carry between seven to eight passengers (not including the chauffeur), have heart shaped exhausts and are equipped with the latest in-kombi entertainment. Both George & Mildred have won 'Best in Class' ~ Standard Kombi Baywindow 1968 onwards at the 2013, 2012 and 2011 Day of the Volkswagen, which is reputed to be Australia's largest and most celebrated VW event.

George D.O.B. 1971
A true gentleman, George has seen a thing or two and although never a fan of hippie flowers he has always been particular in keeping up appearances. With quirky looks and Deluxe Microbus credentials girls love him and boys think he's cool. George is licensed to carry eight passengers, loves the Bee Gees, steady drivers and guests that know how to party.

Mildred D.O.B. 1970
A classy German chic Mildred loves horses, champagne and isn't a fan of cheap imitations. Under her engine lid she has plenty of Vroom but prefers more sedate cruising to get her noticed. Mildred is licensed to carry seven passengers, loves Lionel Richie and the odd Love Heart to make her extra sweet and is happy to attend special occasions on her own or with her man!

Wayne, loves retro glasses
Wayne is a man of mystery with many disguises, who loves vintage clothes and finds any excuse to wear retro glasses. An avid follower of cricket commentary, he gleefully tunes into radio on those romantic solo home journeys. But the mystery doesn't stop there as he knows his classic 1970s bands and is often heard singing well-known verses.

John, loves Godly machines
Around Melbourne John's name is synonymous with classic Volkswagens as he just can't get enough of them. It was luv at first sight when he laid eyes on those iconic lines back in the 1970s. Since then his driveway has been lined with the rare and most quirky. In John's world God drives a Volkswagen!

Fleur, loves VW wheels
Glam rock and roller derby chick, Fleur is as natural on skates as she is behind a Kombi steering wheel and knows a move or two. In true Kombi Love spirit she lives Volkswagens and owns a Beetle and Kombi so is in the premier league. Fleur knows how to have fun and brings energy to any special occasion whether a wedding or formal affair.

Steve, loves George & Mildred
Steve loves German engineering, quirky looking Kombis and Beetles. A showman at heart he has a vintage wardrobe of flares, velvet suits and fluro shirts that make him a highlight at any parties. He is the proud owner of George & Mildred, loves 70s music the beach life and a perfect wedding day.
